(01) Overview

Where should we host our website?

It depends on what the site is. Next.js sites run well on Vercel or Netlify, WordPress sites on managed WordPress hosting, and apps with more moving parts on AWS or DigitalOcean. We set up the hosting, domain, DNS and SSL, then document it so nothing depends on memory.

Most outages come from rushed setups: manual deploys, no backups and expired certificates. We set hosting up once, properly, and write it down.
